Leech cosmetic hirudotherapy cosmetology

In modern cosmetology, methods that have long proven their effectiveness are widely used. The essence of the method

Hirudotherapy is a method involving the use of leeches Hirudo medicinalis. Their placement results in the removal of a small amount of blood (5–15 ml) and the introduction of beneficial substances contained in the leech saliva.

Hirudotherapy is useful in the treatment of many diseases. Modern standards for growing and using medicinal leeches make the procedure not only effective, but also safe.

If previously the effectiveness of the method was associated only with bloodletting, now scientists have found that a beneficial effect is also achieved by introducing special substances into the bloodstream. Leech saliva contains so-called anticoagulants that interfere with the blood clotting mechanism. They are not enough to provoke serious complications, but are enough to eliminate local congestion, improve capillary function, and normalize blood supply to the skin and subcutaneous tissue.
