A course of hirudotherapy will be useful for:
high blood pressure;
circulatory disorders;
deterioration of tissue trophism;
damage to the skin - frostbite, wounds, ulcers;
violation of the integrity of the mucous membranes;
formation of adhesions, scars, proliferation of connective tissue;
increased blood viscosity;
blood hypercoagulation;
violation of lymph outflow;
weakened general and local immunity;
inflammatory processes;
pain of various origins;
infertility.
The advantages of the hirudotherapy treatment method are associated with leeches, which have a healing effect on the body at biologically active points. They introduce biologically active substances contained in their saliva into problem areas, which leads to changes in the functions of the central and autonomic nervous system, and the body’s defenses are mobilized.
Hirudotherapy is a natural means of bloodletting at the vascular level, as a result of which the vessels at the site of the leech attachment expand, helping to activate metabolic processes, and in distant areas of the blood flow they narrow. As a result, the outflow of blood from deep-lying organs is ensured and the intensity of blood flow through the site of the disease increases.
The leech bites the patient's skin to a depth of about 2 mm and sucks out the blood for an hour. After removing leeches, it is not recommended to lubricate the bite sites with iodine, brilliant green, etc. This is due to increased tissue sensitivity after treatment with leeches. Medical leeches are grown in specialized biofactories under sterile conditions. Leeches are used once and not used on other patients.
